Praising God
Tim and I were talking in bed this morning, and he told me he had been praying but his prayers kept running into something. My mind started hearing the phrase "up against a wall." It brought back the memory of a song from my childhood that I could not remember very well. I could hear bits and pieces of the melody and a few words, so I told Tim what I was thinking and HE REMEMBERED THE SONG!!! We lay there and quietly said the words to the chorus together. I wanted to share the song with you. I hope it will help you like it is helping me.

Avalon - Praise The LordPraise The Lord By Avalon
Praise The Lord - Avalon
When you're up against a struggle
That shatters all your dreams
And your hopes been cruelly crushed
By Satan's manifested schemes.
And you feel the urge within you
To submit to earthily fears
Don't let the faith your standing in
Secede to disappear

Praise the Lord.
He can work for those who praise him
Praise the Lord.
For our God inhabits praise
Praise the Lord.
For the chains that seem to bind you
Serve only to remind you
hey drop powerless behind you
When you praise Him

Now Satan is a liar
and he wants to make us think
That we are paupers, when he knows himself
We're children of the King
So lift up the mighty shield of faith
For the battle must be won
We know that Jesus Christ has risen
So the works already done

Praise the Lord.
He can work for those who praise Him
For our God inhabits praise
Praise the Lord.
For the chains that seem to bind you
Serve only to remind you
They drop powerless behind you
When you praise Him

Praise the Lord.

What else can I do today but praise the Lord?! He never fails. His mercy is new every morning. He will not abandon me. He will not forsake me. His promises are true. He is faithful and just. His ways are not to harm but to prosper. His ways are higher than my ways. He is the Good Shepherd, the Provider, the Comforter, the Protector.

I have to praise Him.

Thank you for every single prayer for our family. Thank you.

Tammy,

What a beautiful post!

I was just thinking of several verses that especially helped me during my Mom's battle with cancer. I think of them nearly every day. I remember the words, but I do not remember the references. I’m sure you have ran across many of these verses before, but I thought they may comfort you and give you the hope they gave me.

-And Jesus answering sayeth unto them, "Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, 'be thou removed and be thou casteth into the sea' and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he sayeth shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he sayeth. Therefore I say unto you, what things soever you desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them".

-And He said unto her, “Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole… go in peace and be whole of thy plague.”

-Through faith also, Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed and was delivered of a child when she was passed age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

-For we know that without faith, it is impossible to please him. For he that cometh unto God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.

-And prayer of faith shall save the sick.

-Also, the entire “Faith”chapter in Hebrews is very inspiring and uplifting.

-The chorus of the old hymn “Because He Lives”…. “Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, because He lives, all fear is gone! Because I know who holds the future, and life is worth the living just because He lives!”

Know that my thoughts and prayers are continuously with Nick and your entire family. Remember that with God, ALL things are possible. Also, a lady at my Church once said about waiting on prayers to be answered that “God’s delays aren’t his denials”. Who knows… imagine how powerful it would be for the doctors to do another test and it be GONE! I have heard of this happening! It would even be more miraculous than the scan being clear in the first place! Imagine the non- believers that such a miracle could impact! Know that there is a purpose for everything, and that God isn't finished yet--- He has exciting and joyous things planned for your family. Like someone once told me... "God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things!"

With love and prayers.
