But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I hope the Lord can see the promise of fruit hidden deep within my branches, because I am feeling a little barren today.
So sorry you are having a dry time. But branches that are going to bare fruit look empty to the eye until the little buds burst, then there is no stopping the fruit. May it be so in your life. I think a lot of the fruit you have born has been picked and now awaiting that lovely new crop. You give love , joy, faithfulness and goodness and I only experience you through your blog. I am sure in real life the fruit is even more evident.
Oh,Jen, thank you for your sweet words. Thank you so much. I will check with Stephanie to see if when your book was mailed out!!! Let me know when it arrives.
Thanks for the hug. I can use them. One thing I have learned since being a widow is that humans really miss human contact. Not just the quick passing christian hugs that happen when brothers and sisters meet but the hugs from friends that have a special meaning. Cherish your husband/wife is my encouragement for all who are married. If there comes a time when they are no longer there you will miss their very presence. Don't ever take people in your life for granted. But I know that you know that from personal experience.
Hope the sun is shining for you today and ripening that fresh crop of fruit.

My Complete Profile
In December of 2007 as our youngest son, Nick, was fighting brain cancer, I began to blog.
Writing provided a way for me to release all of my questions, fears, and doubts. It also allowed me to share the ups and downs of Nick's journey with people who were praying for him all over the world.
When Nick went Home in November of 2008, I found myself unable to stop writing. My heart was broken and grief brought to the surface every emotion imaginable. Being able to release those emotions through my writing brought a sense of purpose to my pain.
Having already walked the road of grief in 1992 when we lost our daughter to SIDS, I knew I needed a way to keep from falling into a pit of depression and despair. I had walked close to the edge of a bottomless pit when we lost our daughter, and I knew I couldn't let myself get that close to the edge again.
This blog has been and continues to be my therapy while also being my tiny corner of the world in which I can share My Heart as I journey through God's Word.......thus the name........
My Heart His Words.
Thank you for taking the time to share part of your life with me. If we do not meet while on this planet, I look forward to hearing all about your life when we reach our final destiny.........Heaven!
Email me anytime at tammynischan@yahoo.com if you need to talk. I love making new friends, and I know firsthand how painful life can be when you feel alone in your grief or life struggles.
God bless your life today, tomorrow, and the next!
