Where is God?
I took a few minutes to look at some photos of Memphis this morning.

The flooding is simply unbelievable.

I sat and clicked through the photos, and I'm going to be honest, I thought to myself,
"God, where are you?"

And then I turned to His Word to find out.

Psalm 29:10-11

The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;

The Lord is enthroned as King forever.

The Lord gives strength to His people;

The Lord blesses His people with peace.

So, I take a deep breath and I whisper a prayer for strength and peace to be flooded over the people in Memphis.

And I think of our sweet friends Luther and Bridgett who are being overwhelmed in an entirely different way as Bridgett fights cancer and has had a very difficult night, and I whisper the same prayer for strength and peace to be flooded over them.

Lord, help us see the floods as a visual of how overwhelming your love is for us, and help us to remember that You are with those who are suffering.

You have not left Your throne.

Thankful for that promise,

As a flood survivor, myself ( last May 1, Millington Tn. ) I've watched in horror this past week as I see folks loosing all they have...my heart goes out to them...and to HIM... Who sees all our fear and knows all our thoughts...may He have twice, no, ten times as much mercy on these folks as He did on us.

HIS,

Patti,

Yes, yes, yes, praying for God's mercy.

And also, I hope that you are now in a time of peace. I have never experienced flooding firsthand, so I know that your prayers are much more specific than mine. Keep praying.

Love you,

Tammy
