2 Corinthians 3:17-18
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of
the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being
transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing
glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
I wasn't sure where to start with my sharing of the weekend, so I decided to start at the very beginning......... Carla and I arrived at our hotel in Pennsylvania LATE on Friday night after a long and stressful (mixed with comical) trip from Kentucky. Let's just say that a British man, Charles (our GPS tour guide), was getting on Carla's last nerve as we dodged construction barrels and made twists and turns in the dark that often seemed to be taking us into the middle of nowhere.
I called my sister-in-law at one point to ask a few questions about our location because she lives in that area, and her first question was "What town are you going to?" Her second question was, "What is the name of the hotel?"
I'm going to be honest.
I didn't know the name of either.
(I knew the church was Norwin Christian Church. I knew that Tim had placed the address in the GPS for me and I had asked him to just type in the words "Pennsylvania Hotel," so I could find it easily when looking in the list of GPS addresses.)
I'm pretty sure Jennifer has lowered her level of respect for me now (if she hadn't already), because at 11:00 at night someone should probably know a little bit more about where they're going than I did.
So, when we finally arrived at our destination and saw the note above on our bathroom mirror, along with several other great messages, we cracked up. Our Ohio friends had arrived before us and decided to greet us with more than just their pretty faces!
When I sat down to begin writing about the events of the weekend, I decided that I had to start with our mirror messages, because in many ways WE ARE ALL MIRRORS reflecting some sort of message.
What messages do you reflect to the world? I know that many times my reflection isn't that pretty (literally and figuratively).
For today, my challenge to me and to you is this:
LET'S REFLECT GOD'S GLORY IN ALL WE DO!
(and buy some window markers when you get a chance and leave a message on a mirror for someone you love)
I just remembered that I was suppose to have my drawing on Friday for my give-away. OOPS!!! I will take care of that today and announce the winner later. If you didn't get to enter yet, simply leave a little "HI" as a comment and include your email address. I'll have the drawing tonight at 5 p.m. (Eastern Time) :) Love you all.
