HOLIDAY GIVE - AWAY!

novembern first week 093_resize

Moody Publishers wrote and asked if I would review a new book by Bill and Penny Thrasher, and they sent me two extra copies to share with you, my blogging friends!!!

This book contains many wonderful ways to help you and your family transform holidays that can sometimes become very stressful into memories filled with laughter, love, and most of all God's presence!!!!!

The author Dr. Bill Thrasher has spoken to thousands of people about the spiritual battles surrounding the celebration of holidays.  With his wife, Penny, they share lots of great ideas for making every holiday, from Christmas to birthdays to Valentine's Day, unforgettable and even life-changing.

As I was reading through the book this afternoon, I was struck with the reality that in order to do anything well, we must determine to be intentional.

Many times, for me anyway, holidays arrive too quickly and pass by even more quickly.  This books clearly lays out a plan for creating family experiences that will lead your family into a deeper walk with God.

Please post your name and email address if you would like to be entered in the drawing to win a copy of the book Putting God Back in the Holidays.

I will have the drawing this coming Friday at school, so please post your name and email address by Thursday evening (November 11th).

I love you all,

Are you going to give us some tips from the book. I have it all figured out now. I just stay at home and let the rest of the family figure out what they are going to do. I miss a lot of the fun we used to have and it is a bit lonely by oneself but that is better than the very hot (mid Australian summer) rat race that the world gets into.

Anything that can help Christian families better celebrate is a good thing.

Tammy,

Please enter my name in the drawing. I would love to read this book as the holidays this year - once again - are already starting as a struggle. I just cannot seem to "reinvent" the wheel and bring back the joy during the holidays. We were just discussing this at lunch. Even if I don't win (but I hope I do:)...I would really like to read this book.

Hope you have a wonderful week ahead! Your retreat looks like a really special weekend. I could probably use a retreat sometime soon:)

Hugs, my friend. Jennifer

I think I just might read this book anyways. I want to make the holidays very special for my children and show them the real reason for the season. Thanks for being such a great influence Tammy!
